Not a secret at all but a justifiably popular walk from the Irish Sea to the North Sea, this is Wainwright's classic Coast-to-Coast walk from St Bees on the west coast to Robin Hoods Bay on the east coast. In the course of the 190 mile Coast-to-Coast you will pass through the varied scenery of three National Parks. Beginning with a spectacular traverse of the mountains of the Lake District, the route crosses the moors and karst country of the Yorkshire Dales following beautiful Swaledale to reach the windswept North York Moors. The sensational finale of the Coast-to-Coast trail is a bracing cliff-top walk along the Cleveland Way into Robin Hoods Bay.
The entire Coast-to-Coast over 2 weeks is £765 per person including accommodation in hotels country Inns & guest houses, maps and route notes, and an emergency contact number or £845 with baggage transfer.

From Appleby in the Pennines to Arnside on Morecambe Bay, this 95 mile trail plots a meandering course through what was the county of Westmorland which formed the north-eastern sector of present day Cumbria. The trail is predominantly a low level route using river valleys and low passes to navigate its course through the mountains of the Lake District. Along the way you will travel through a tremendous variety of landscape from pastoral feels and wooded river dells to open moor and rugged mountain passes. The route is normally done over 7 days but longish days of 17 miles at the start and the finish of the walk can be split into more amenable chunks if taken over 9 days.
The 7 day option is £455 per person including accommodation in hotels country Inns & guest houses, maps and route notes, and an emergency contact number or £535 with baggage transfer.
Available from 1st April to 1st October 2012
The 84 mile long Hadrian's Wall Path became the 15th official National Trail of England in 2003 with the final long-negotiated agreement of access which meant the course of the monument could be followed almost entirely without sections of road walking. Since 2003 the trail has been enjoyed by thousands of walkers. Hadrian's Wall is normally walked from east to west from Wallsend in Newcastle to the salt marshes of the Solway and en route crosses the Pennines along the slip escarpment of the Great Whin Sil.
The entire Hadrian's Wall Path from £425 per person including accommodation in hotels country Inns & guest houses, maps and route notes, and an emergency contact number. Options for luggage transfer, car parking and transfers back to your start point.
