If you are an experienced fell-walker and competant navigator, we can provide self-guided point-to-point walking holidays in the Lake District. We offer excellent 'off-the-peg' routes or you can contact us for a tailor-made holiday that is perfect for you. We can make all your accommodation arrangements for you, and ensure that your luggage is waiting for you when you check in at the end of your day's walk.

We provide maps, route notes and all the information you need to take the guess work out of arranging your Lake District walking holiday. Our standard Lake District itineraries will guarantee you see the best of the region but if you have a route in mind or a list of fells you would like to take in just let us know and we will do the rest.. The price you pay includes:

  • All accommodation in twin/double rooms with private bathroom (where available) in hotels, Inns or specially selected guest houses
  • Luggage transfer between hotels (if required)
  • All breakfasts
  • A map and guidebook, route notes plus local information including escape routes, bus timetables, dining options with opening times, location of cash machines, etc.
  • An emergency contact number

The price does not include:

  • Lunches and evening meals
  • Extra costs incurred through using escape routes or from any arrangements made by us as a result of you using the emergency contact number.
  • Miscellaneous personal expenses such as drinks etc.

Accommodation

We choose a mix of exceptional hotels, Inns and guest houses on or close to the route. Each of the places we use are known to us personally, and we make sure that you have a comfortable and pleasant stay at the end of your day. All our accommodation has ensuite or private bathrooms for twin or double share.

If you would like to stay in 4 or 5 star hotels or if you wish to use youth hostel or budget accommodation (note that these options may involve extra transfers), please let us know and we will be happy to provide a quote for your chosen type of accommodation.

Meals

In most cases your accommodation will serve dinner and will be able to prepare a packed lunch for you. Alternatively you can use our extensive notes to make your own dining and lunch arrrangements using local restaurants, cafes and supermarkets.
