Our Three Peaks Explorer tour offers you an opportunity to climb the highest mountain in each of Scotland, England and Wales while touring the marvelous countryside in which these mountains are set. The ascents of Yr Wyddfa (Snowdon) - the resting place of King Arthur, Scafell Pike - the hub of the English Lake District, and Ben Nevis - highest of them all rising from the sea to 4409ft, all offer magnificent panoramas of the surrounding countryside and are a prized achievement.
Beginning with an ascent of Y Wyddfa (Snowdon) in the rugged Cambrian mountains, we then move to the picturesque English Lake District to climb Englands highest mountain, Scafell Pike, and we finish the tour in the highlands of Scotland on the summit of Britain's highest peak, Ben Nevis.
During this tour, we will also explore the more remote and less visited areas in the stunning and rugged countryside of Welsh Snowdonia and the picturesque Lake District. Our itinerary includes cruises on two of England’s longest lakes, riding a cable car above the Great Glen in Scotland, and guided tours of Caernarfon Castle, a copper mine, and even a whiskey distillery. |
