Follow our series of the best routes to mountain tops, and the pick of the lesser known trails through the valleys of the Lake District, Snowdonia and the Scottish Highlands. Each newsletter presents one of these excellent hikes which can be tackled in a single day. They range from easy through to very strenuous and are clearly graded for length, ascent, difficulty of terrain and exposure. Each route contains a detailed description including directions to start and finish points, and is accompanied by detailed route maps and photographs.
